Do you have the space?
A 220cm table with eight chairs needs a room of roughly 4m by 3m to allow 90cm clearance around the table. A 240cm table needs a little more. Measure your room and doorways before ordering, using our measuring guide and our table size guide.
Styling a large dining table
- Use two pendant lights or one long linear pendant so the whole table is lit evenly.
- Keep centrepieces low so guests can see across the table: a linen runner with a few small vases works well.
- A large rug at least 60cm wider than the table on every side keeps chairs on the rug when pulled out.
- Black with olive green feels modern and earthy; walnut with beige feels warm and classic; natural with natural feels light and Scandinavian.
